Wives submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Colossians 3:18
To say that I need to work on that would be the understatement of the year. I tend to me a little bossy sometimes. (I know some of you are chuckling right now!) Well, the other day, my sweet 4-year-old helped set me back on the right path.
Josh was messing with the TV, and I was afraid he would mess something up and cancel what was recording at the time. I told him to stop messing with the TV and help me get the kids ready for bed. I obviously didn't use my nice voice, because Ethan then said, "Mom, are you the boss of Dad?"
Remembering Colossians 3:18 I said, "No, Daddy is the boss of me, and we are both the bosses of you and Olivia."
Ethan responded, "Well then why are you bossing him."
OUCH! It's never fun to have your flaws pointed out by your kids!

Football Star?!
We drove past the old football field the other day while the high schoolers were having football practice. Ethan said, "Mom, what are they doing? Cuz whatever it is, I want to do it someday!"
I thought I better record that moment for someday when he's a big football star!

Ethan's Chicken
Ethan is really into drawing these days. I've started to notice somewhat of a method/strategy as I watch him work. He starts making marks on the paper, then when he's almost finished, he decides what he's making. Sometimes when I ask him what he is drawing, he will say, "I don't know yet." or "What do you think is looks like?" A few weeks ago in church, he made a chicken on the children's bulletin. I was highly impressed!

Grandma's Truck
My mother-in-law, Joni, came to pick up Ethan and Olivia for the weekend. As they were leaving, I gave them both a package of fruit snacks to eat on the way. Shortly after they left, Joni called me to tell me that Ethan said, "I'm just gonna throw my wrapper on the floor cuz your truck's already dirty."

How You Know It's Been Too Hot....
Last night before bed, Ethan said, "Mommy, can we pray for Winter, cuz I really miss it?"
