More About Dreams
Right before bed last night, Ethan told me, "If I just want a random dream, then I don't whisper anything, but if I want to dream about something then I just say it a couple times before I go to sleep."

Leaving a Legacy!
During "circle time" each morning, we read from the Bible, sing, look at the calendar, discuss the weather, and do a project. When Ethan woke up this morning he told me, "Mom, we don't need to do circle time today, because I already know about Jesus, and I can just spread the news to anyone who doesn't know about Jesus."
I was kind of sad that he didn't want to do circle time, but at the same time oh so amazed by the little man he is becoming!

For the Record!
I was washing the dishes tonight after supper, and Ethan asked if he could help. I pulled a chair over to the sink and showed him how to help me scrub the pans. He must have enjoyed himself, because after we were done he told Livi, "I'm pretty lucky tonight, Livi, cuz I got to do the dishes!"
I thought I better get this one on record, because I'm sure his attitude about washing dishes will change someday!

Not Quite!
After a little encouragement from my aunt, I recently started working on Bible verse memorization with the kids. The first one we are learning is Galations 5:22-23. We have been talking about matters of the heart, so I thought it would be a good one to start with. Plus, I already know it in the form of a song, which makes it much easier to memorize. Last night as Ethan was getting ready for bed, I overheard him talking to himself, saying, "The fruit of the Spirit is..."
I couldn't believe he was learning it so quickly! I quietly waved Josh over to listen.
"The fruit of the Spirit is.....poop, pee, punch."
SIGH! Not yet!

Dreams!
Awhile back, Ethan overheard Josh telling me about his dream from the night before. Ever since then, Ethan has been sharing his "dreams" with us. I put it in quotes, because I'm pretty sure that most of them were not actual dreams but just stories he made up on the spot. Although, lately I'm beginning to wonder if he has figured out what a dream actually is. Almost every morning he has a dream to tell me. It's so fun to listen to him! Yesterday I overheard this conversation he had with Dylan....
Ethan: While coloring an ice cream cone picture, "Have you ever tried this kind of ice cream before?"
Dylan: "No."
Ethan: "I tried it in one of my dreams. It's awesome!"
